SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Update Greetings to customers both old and new !
We are currently assessing what our “Best Work Practices” will be going forward for the next few months.New information seems to change our day to day outlook, so we will continue to update this information page to help assist our customers.
In an effort to limit community spread of the coronavirus we will not be servicing any household’s with signs or symptoms or positive results for the SARS-CoV-2.This includes recent travel to known hot spots.
As our current customers are well aware, we already take many measures to keep dust down and leave the hearth area cleaner than when we first arrive for the appointment. In an effort to follow the advice of the CDC and to have as minimal contactas we can with each house we have decided to step up our current practices.
1.Before entering each home, protective gear such as neoprene gloves and a respirator will be worn. These will remain on until the end of the visit.
2.We are requesting that all items in and around the wood stove and fireplace be removed by the customer to limit the handling of those items.
3.We will not ask you to sign the chimney service report this year as a signed check is proof of your approval of our findings.
4.We will do our best to only touch the handle of your front door and the wood burning appliance/ fireplace we are servicing. This is typically what happens from year to year anyway.
5.***Many of our customers feel comfortable with arranging keyed access to their home without being home themselves. We are asking all of our customers for the next few months to consider being away from the house while we service the wood stove/ fireplace in an effort to limit exposure for everyone. This is only a request and not a condition for service this next few months.
Please feel free to give our office a call (530-927-7459) if you have any questions about the upcoming season. We really appreciate your business and hope that you and your family stay warm and healthy ! Tyrus and Diane
